This collection of resource pages is here to make your journey as simple and enjoyable as it can be - everything you read here is based on 20+ years and over a quarter million geckos worth of actual, hands-on experience.
While genetics seem to be a new phenomenon in crested geckos, these pages are written by someone with over two decades of professional experience, developing our own in-house crested gecko lineages (and discovering or producing a number of crested gecko genes in the process). Genetics and lineage have always been at the heart of what we do here - going back to when I was breeding pythons and didn't know what a crested gecko was.
Genetics information beyond a gene or two, and lineage information beyond pics of the parents and the name of the breeder who that breeder got the parents from, is very scarce. A lot of the genetics information given also happens to be mostly incomplete or erroneous - sometimes intentionally, but often times unintentionally.

NEW: THE SAFE COHABITATION OF CRESTED GECKOS
This page started as a hit-piece written to confront, and put to rest, the idea that crested geckos shouldn't be housed together in groups (aka "cohabbing"). Over time, it started to evolve into a guide on safely and ethically keeping crested geckos in groups and the anti-cohabbing BS started to die down a bit. Here we'll dive into what to do, what not to do, how to introduce adults, best practices for certain types of groups, breeding in pairs, trios and such, etc.
