This is definitely carrying the Empty Back gene, and he may even be a Super EB (you'll have to breed him to find out for sure). I'm pricing and selling him as a visual het, but it would not surprise me at all if he's a Super EB. As visual as this gene can be in the het form, it's just hard to say.
There's also something going on that makes the pinning stand out from the creamy dorsal. This may be our "paper white" gene, but I'm not 100% on this one. Came from one red parent (the legendary Neon line, no less) and one black.
PS - Due to his overall quality and the genes he has going for him, I'd breed this guy to as many females as you can dedicate to him - whatever is making the dorsal and pinning look like that is genetic and these produce the cleanest base colors you'll ever see. If you have bright reds, do yourself a favor and breed him into them...it might not happen in one generation, but you'll have insanely clean reds by gen 2.
