  • Wholesale orders are not eligible for payment plans.
  • We aren’t always able to offer payment plans on every gecko, due to issues of rarity/demand, etc.

PAYMENT PLAN INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1. PLACE ORDER FOR GECKOS TO BE PUT ON PAYMENT PLAN:

1. Get in touch with Anthony for pre-approval. Be sure to provide the ID number of the gecko(s).

2. Once approved, go ahead and place an order for the gecko(s) as you normally would, but choose PayPal as the payment option and then stop on the PayPal screen after clicking "Place Order". This will put the order in our system as unpaid.

3. Text or email Anthony to let him know you've placed the order.  We will then convert the order over to a Payment Plan, which will mark your gecko(s) sold and remove them from the website.

IMPORTANT: Geckos you're putting on payment plan will still be available on website until this process is complete.

STEP 2. PLACE SEPARATE ORDER TO MAKE A DEPOSIT:

For this step you will place a separate order than the one mentioned above.  This order will only be for your deposit or payment.

1. Start by entering a quantity on this page that corresponds to the dollar amount you want to pay and add it to your cart.  Example: Add a quantity of 300 to your cart to pay $300.  Check your cart to make sure the correct dollar amount is shown before you proceed.

2. List the ID Number of the Gecko(s) or Your Existing Order Number (if you already have one) in the "Customer's Notes" field.

3. Choose "Ship With Existing Order" as the shipping option in order to waive the shipping charge at checkout.

When making follow-up payments towards a payment plan, simply complete the deposit process again.

UPDATED PAYMENT PLAN CANCELLATION POLICY

Look folks - I hate to do it, but it has gotten to the point where we have to either stop offering payment plans or we have to start holding people to their word and stop making it so easy for a few people to ruin this for everyone else. :-/

It takes a lot of time and resources to photograph and list live geckos, care for them during the payment plan, set up and then later cancel a payment plan, apply store credit and then put the gecko(s) back into available inventory - especially after caring for them for months longer than we otherwise would have. If, after all that, we have to take new photographs and then relist them, it will effectively eliminate any profit we might have made by selling that gecko.

In other words, by the time we've been put through a cancellation after 90 days, I would have spent less time and made just as much money if the gecko had been stolen.

I have never minded doing payment plans for customers who uphold their end of the deal. However, when they don't, that's a problem - and not a small one. That being the case, It's important to a respect a breeder's time and understand what all is involved for them before you start a payment plan.  Any time you have a breeder hold an animal and then you don't follow through, you are wasting an enormous amount of their time and resources.

As polite and understanding as we've tried to be, this is something that has never been taken lightly here, and it's not taken lightly in the reptile business in general. Bottom line - believe me, you don't want to be that guy/girl that other breeders talk about while they have a beer at the reptile show host hotel's bar. (Just being honest - that's how bad it is.)

You should treat the decision to buy a live animal, even if it's on a payment plan, as if you were making payment in full right there on the spot - and committing to take responsibility for that animal.  If you think there's a chance you could need the money back or you might change your mind, just don't commit buy an animal - it's really that simple.

1. DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS ARE NOW NON-REFUNDABLE - NO STORE CREDIT - NO EXCEPTIONS

If you are unable to complete your payment plan on time, the order and payment plan will be cancelled. Any deposits or payments made will be forfeited in their entirety.  No exceptions will be made to this policy under any circumstances.

2. POLICY ON CHANGING GECKOS
In reality, it makes no difference if someone cancels a payment plan to get another gecko from us, or to pay a late bill - either way, it will still require us to cancel the payment plan and (re-)do a lot of extra work.  As such, we will no longer offer the option of applying deposits or payments paid for one gecko to another.

3. 30-DAY GRACE PERIOD
Customers who have never gone over on a payment plan in the past will be given a 30-day grace period to pay the balance of a payment plan without forfeiture of their deposit/payments. I get that sh-tuff happens and I won't be mad at you even a little bit for trying to spend your money here, so long as it's not a regular occurrence.

This will be a one-time per year courtesy that cannot be taken advantage of on a regular basis.
