This gecko is one of my favorites from this photo shoot. The color is simultaneously intense/rich, bright and clean. The only way this can happen is by combining C2's Hypo color with Super Soft, and of course, you have to have the intense color to start with. The Whitewall laterals are there, but being muted by the Phantom gene and then edged in what's left of the extra bold Tiger markings, which are dramatically reduced by the C2 Hypo trait/gene (whatever it is).
If you're old school enough to remember the BlackJack lineage that was all the rage here 10 years ago, take a close look at those laterals - that's exactly what BlackJack's sides would look like if he was orange and a Phantom. :-)
Most C2 line geckos have a cream to yellow base color, but we've crossed those into some of our really intense Tangerine/Citrus line geckos to achieve a cleaned up version of those. We've made these in small numbers in both Soft Scale and Super Soft Scale versions, and both have been genuinely impressive to me.
