This girl has VERY clean pale color for a dark/red gecko, which means it has genetics for dark base color too - this is the "heterozygous" step between red and lavender, when we take pattern genes from a lavender base project into a red project. One more generation (breeding her back to a red male) and you'll get full on red babies. The cool thing is that the lavenders these produce without red are actually super clean and nice as well, which we've turned into another separate project. The most important part with these het or "in-between" red base geckos is making sure you still choose the cleanest-colored specimens, which she definitely is. By the way, this is our Neon line red in her, so literally the cleanest red line we have ever developed.
